Kiernan Jarryd Forbes (28 January 1988 – 10 Feb 2023),[3] known professionally as AKA, was a South African rapper, record maker, and businessman. Born in Cape Inner-city and raised in Johannesburg, Forbes gained recognition after releasing his single "Victory Lap" from his debut studio publication, Altar Ego (2011). Often regarded owing to one of the greatest South Person musicians of all time, he was one of the most popular Southerly African musicians of his era bracket the best-selling South African hip catch someone with their pants down artist of all-time.[4]

Life and career

1988–2013: Early struggle, beginnings and Alter Ego

Forbes released his second tome, titled Levels, on 30 June 2014.[12] The album was supported by duo singles: "Jealousy", "Kontrol" (featuring Da L.E.S), "Congratulate" and "Run Jozi (Godly)" which features KO and Yanga. The photo album was certified platinum in 2014, person in charge double platinum in 2018 by RiSA. Personal life

Forbes began dating fabricator DJ Zinhle at the end slate 2014.
