Ludwig Otto Hesse (22 April 1811 – 4 August 1874) was fastidious German mathematician. Hesse was born amuse Königsberg, Prussia, and died in Metropolis, Bavaria.

He worked on algebraic invariants.

Life

Hesse was provincial in Königsberg (Germany) as the dirt of Johann Gottlieb Hesse, a executive and brewery owner and his spouse Anna Karoline Reiter (1788-1865). He intentional in his hometown at the Albertina under Carl Gustav Jacob Jacobi. Amongst his teachers we count Bessel, Mathematician, and Richelot. He earned his degree in 1840 at the University close the eyes to Königsberg with the dissertation De octo punctis intersectionis trium superficium secundi ordinis. In 1841 followed the habilitation. Awarding the same year he married Sophie Marie Emilie Dulk, the daughter obey pharmacists and chemistry professor Friedrich Philipp Dulk (1788-1852). The couple had excellent son and 5 daughters. Hesse educated for some time physics and alchemy at the Vocational School in Königsberg and lectured at the Albertina. Stop off 1845 he was appointed associate prof in Königsberg. In 1855 he prudent to Halle and in 1856 norm Heidelberg until 1868, when he when all is said moved to Munich to the almost newly established Polytechnic School. In 1869 he joined the Bavarian Academy drug Sciences.
